Join us as Supply Chain Manager and you’ll do the same.About the role: You’ll be the driving force behind our effective and dynamic Procurement function. With your expert Procurement knowledge, you’ll ensure both internal and external stakeholder expectations and requirements are met, whilst managing the daily operations to ensure a dependable and efficient supply for Amcare.

Your key duties and responsibilities:

  • Approach daily problem solving and continuous improvement opportunities strategically and tactically to achieve performance targets

  • Lead continuous improvement projects that align with Amcare’s overall direction

  • Understand, report and improve necessary KPI’s

  • Identify and drive improvement of processes, tools, and information systems to enable World Class Customer Service

  • Maintain processes and procedures

  • Mitigate supplier constraints by collaborating with functional stakeholders

  • Analyse operational trends and develop corrective action plans

  • Address supply chain failures promptly to ensure operations stability; escalate as appropriate

  • Manage, coach, and develop staff; work with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning

Key Skills required:

Analyse Issues: Demonstrated results indicating a solid knowledge of analysing issues. Critically identifies an issue's scope and parameters while analysing it from multiple perspectives. Determines the root causes as well as broad implications of issues. Integrates information and defines an array of alternatives. Appropriately applies a variety of analytical tools and methodologies to complete key projects and solve problems.

Champion Change: Demonstrated results indicating a good knowledge of championing change. Plans proactive approaches to manage change processes. Applies change management tools and processes in innovative ways to anticipate issues. Considers change management implications in decision-making processes to anticipate potential barriers. Uses structured change management process for change efforts within the function.

Coach and Develop: Solid understanding of coaching and development skills and tools. Coaches and develops direct reports on basic performance issues and development needs. Dedicates appropriate time when coaching and developing others. Utilises structured approach and appropriate tools when coaching and developing others. Provides relevant assignments to direct reports that address individual development needs.

Develop Systems and Processes: Solid understanding of how to develop systems and process. Routinely applies systems and processes to improve and complete work at a team/departmental level. Works to eliminate system and process inefficiencies and roadblocks. Demonstrates consistent use of structured work documentation (e.g. communication channels, work steps, procedures, checklists, or flow charts).

Establish Plans: Demonstrated results indicating deep knowledge of establishing plans. Uses structured tools, processes and systems to plan initiatives and document work clearly. Ensures objectives for projects or initiatives are clearly linked to corresponding activities for effective execution. Solicits customer feedback to incorporate into planning process. Demonstrates the ability to plan initiatives across multiple teams/organisations, ensuring goals are consistent and aligned. Identifies critical constraints to executing plans and develops strategies to deal with the constraints. Prepares highly complex estimates of budget, staff, and other resources.

Effectively delegates to ensure completion of complex projects and work. Monitors progress of others and redirects efforts when goals change or are not met. Measures effectiveness of execution through defined metrics and disciplined monitoring.

Motivate Others: Demonstrated results indicating deep knowledge of motivating others. Establishes challenging performance standards and communicates them in a way that creates buy-in. Demonstrates considerable skill in motivating people when they lack confidence. Developed a reputation for creating a positive and productive work environment while focusing on bottom-line results.

Supply Chain Knowledge: Understands completely the role of each function in the Supply Chain and how their Key Performance Indicators support the needs of our end customers. Has been a leader in Supply Chain functions and led cross-functional teams to drive improvements in the Supply Chain.

Analytical Reasoning: Has an advanced understanding of analytical methodologies and the ability to utilise various statistical methodologies. Has the ability to break down data and information in meaningful ways and is also to make connections and analyse data and information from multiple sources. Formulates logical arguments, roots the arguments in data and information, provides sound data to support the conclusions and is able to provide alternative suggestions for additional research and/or data. Works with key stakeholders to determine analytical requirements. Is able to articulate conclusions to business partners and explain the thought processes and methodologies used to draw the conclusion. Provides recommendations for business actions based on the conclusions drawn from analytical analysis in a way that is meaningful to stakeholders.

Materials Agreement Knowledge: Have developed materials agreements with several suppliers with limited support.

Demand Forecasting Concepts and Processes: Understands forecasting concepts and processes. Have participated in the forecasting process and demonstrated an understanding of how to apply demand forecasting concepts and strategies to optimise our ability to meet our customer’s expectations and make decisions that demonstrate support of the business as a whole.

Electronic Commerce (E-Commerce) Concepts: Can explain the E-commerce options available and how it impacts their function.

Inventory Control Management: Understand inventory control and management principals across the supply chain and have put in strategies that affect local and global inventory management. Determined inventory management processes to meet strategic plans.

Supplier Performance Management: Understands functional roles and responsibilities requisite to appropriately manage supplier performance and I fulfill my responsibilities; I ensure suppliers understand their performance deficiencies and Amcare expectations relative to continuous improvement.

Supplier Relationship Management: Understands the need for effective supplier relationships. Manages supplier relationships and ensures that internal stakeholders and suppliers effectively resolve issues. Leads planning discussions with suppliers to ensure that they are capable of meeting both current and future needs of Amcare.

Supplier Capacity Management: Understands the communication and management processes that must be in place to ensure suppliers have appropriate capacity in place. Can communicate effectively with suppliers concerning specific demand that is likely to be placed on them.

Project Management: User proficiency level plus proficient in the application of Project Management principles and practices in a wide range of work situations. This person is capable of effectively managing projects with little to no guidance.

Logistics Knowledge: Understands that we have logistics requirements to move product from suppliers to Amcare then to our customers.
